MCPC has partnered with NeuroKids Melbourne to offer a Paediatric Neurodiagnostic service including paediatric EEG.
Dr Shabeed Chelakkadan is the lead Neurologist co-ordinating the EEG service.
An EEG (Electroencephalogram) is a non-invasive, painless and safe test that records the brain’s electrical activity. EEG can be used to assess conditions such as seizures, epilepsy, sleep disorders or other changes in brain activity.
For further details about the different types of EEG and preparation for your child’s EEG, see the NeuroKids Melbourne website.
For information about how to refer for EEG please contact MCPC reception at reception@mcpc.com.au or via the NeuroKids website.
