COVID-19 Update

To our MCPC community,

At MCPC we continue to practise COVID-safe measures to protect our staff, doctors, patients and the wider community.  Many of our patients are immunosuppressed or have chronic illness and we endeavour to provide a safe environment for them.

The following guidelines are in place at MCPC to keep us all safe:

  • If you or your child are subject to a Department of Education isolation or quarantine order, please do not attend MCPC in person.
  • If you or your child have a fever or upper/ lower respiratory tract illness (cough/ cold), please reschedule your appointment or contact reception to discuss the possibility of a Telehealth appointment.  You should be tested for COVID immediately at a dedicated COVID testing site.
  • If you or your child have attended a COVID exposure site in the previous 14 days, please contact reception to reschedule or to arrange a Telehealth appointment.
  • Please ensure that you and any children over 12 are wearing a properly fitted mask to on-site appointments.
  • Following check in at reception we ask that patients and their parent/guardian wait in their car or outside the clinic to avoid unnecessary crowding of the waiting room.  We also request that you check in with our QR code.
  • We ask that consultations are attended by as few accompanying adults as possible. Preferably one parent/guardian per patient. Where possible, please do not attend with siblings or other children.
  • Please respect the current recommendations pertaining to social distancing and reduced physical contact.
  • Telehealth appointments are an alternative to face-to-face consultations. Many of our doctors are offering Telehealth appointments. Please discuss with reception if you would rather be consulted remotely via Telehealth.

Finally, we strongly encourage all our parents and patients (when eligible) to be vaccinated.  This is the best way to keep our community safe from severe illness and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  If you have any concerns about vaccination, please discuss them with your doctor.
